COL Juan Fernandez, USA (Ret.)
President & CEO
Our President and CEO was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 1982. COL Fernandez’s education includes a Master’s degree in International Relations from Troy State University, all academic work for a DBA from the University of Phoenix, and preparatory course to take the PMP exam and certification. He served in various positions as Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, a couple of battalion staff positions, Company Commander, and a brigade staff officer before taking over as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff Engineer for 7th ARCOM in Schwetzingen, Germany until August of 2001. He then spent two years as Plans Officer for Joint and Combined Multi-Agency Strategic Exercises for the US SOUTHCOM J34 in Miami, Florida.
In March of 2006, COL Fernandez joined III Corps, in FT Hood, TX as the Corps Staff Engineer. There he assumed duties as the Multi-National Corp Staff Engineer Officer (CJ7) and proceeded to lead his section in Iraq from August 2006 until August 2007 coordinating the engineering support to the surge and the certification of engineer soldiers to dispose of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Upon return from the Iraqi Theater of War, COL Fernandez served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reserve Components.
